Is there a power save? If so I want to turn it off! It seems like I have to start an ice cycle every time I want a bit of ice. I have never gotten more Than like 20 or So pieces of ice and usually less than 8 -12. I thought this ice maker held 4 pounds of ice and makes 44 pounds a day. I am not getting anything like this so I wonder if I am doing something wrong. 5 gallon water bottle on top and it seems to be properly feeding since the water works fine. I am disappointed and frustrated and hoping I am just doing something wrong that is easily fixed. Please help!
Our ice maker should be able to keep making ice after every cycle of 12 pcs of bullet ice until it stores up to 4lbs of ice. If your machine can not make more than 20pcs of ice, then most likely the cold water tank is frozen when it is making the first cycle of ice. You can open the back frame then remove white cover of the cold water tank by unplugging the water tube. In such case, you can give us your order number and shipping address. We might need to exchange your machine.

Can you hook a direct water line to the machine?
We do have a model that you can hook up to a water line which does not allow you to top load 5 galloon water bottle. But you can pour water manually or use a water pump with pipe which is included to pump water from a tank. It is recommended to hook up to a water filtration system. The add water light keeps flashing yet there is a full water jug on top. How do I check the water level switch? Where is it located?
Could you plz take a picture of the top of the water jug? Something might block the water going through the white base. If no enough water flows to the water tank, then the floating valve at the corner of the tank will not go up then add water sensor will be on.

Does this require a drain or does it recirculate the melting ice water?
You need to drain only when you clean the ice maker with ice maker cleaner. The drain hose and plug can be found on the bottom of the machine. The melting ice water be recirculated back to the water reservoir by pump in the machine as long as it is plugged into power.

recently my machine will stop making ice and the ice light goes out and the power light flashes.... any ideas?

The cold water has a metallic taste. How can I get rid of the metallic taste
Are you using pure water? Please only use clean water filled by clean water filtration system or buy from supermarket. The chlorine in water might also react with nickle in the machine so the water may taste metallic. I've purchased this 3 in 1 cooler on March 15th, 2024, a little over a month ago. The ice maker is emitting a loud howling noise at times for about a week now, and, seem to be running incessantly. I contacted Amazon to seek product support, they advised me to contact the vendor directly since it's over the 30 day exchange window they offer. What needs to be done? I unplugged the machine to reset, the noise is still there.
Can you hear the fan carefully when making ice or cold water? You can use a flashlight and check the fan inside the machine to see there is anything inside.
